Introduction

Pallets count as +1 for HOV right?
I have always wanted to get into art. And during my school years I got to experiment with different forms of it but never found one that I really liked or was any good at. But I always had that drive to make things with my hands but could never find a good outlet.

Over the last couple of years I have developed more stress in my life then I could deal with till I finally realized I needed a change. So I was at work and I was looking at a stack of pallets and though that since I had no money to invest in a hobby I could take what was to be thrown away and turn it into something I liked. Thus Pallet Wurks was born.

My plan is to take discarded pallets and wood and make works of art. Some of my ideas so far are: Picture frames, wooden canvas (used to make hand made signs like they used to), furniture and more. I want to start out simple and work my way up.

I only have a old 94 Oldsmobile 88 so I can only really put two pallets in it at a time so I am slowly moving them form work to my home and then on the weekends I will go about taking them apart.

I have seen some great projects people have used pallets to make such as floors, stairs, lawn chairs, and even tool boxes.

Well that is it for now. Saturday will be my day for breaking down pallets and hopefully working on my first project... not sure if I will start with my shed or just go right into a wooden canvas or make a end table.
